Malaika Riasat lost her mother at a very young age when she was only 10. After getting married at 18, she decided to continue her studies at a prestigious fashion school of Pakistan.

Designing clothes is something Malaika is deeply passionate about, which is why she started her own clothing line in 2010. However, a few years later she had to part ways and come out of an unhealthy marital relationship for her daughter’s and her own well-being. This left her with nothing in her hands but only a few supportive friends.

She had to restart her clothing business with the bare minimum and managed to pull it off. And also started working as a costume designer alongside, where she has worked on three big-budget feature films as well as a few music videos.

Her hard work and devotion made her excel in her career while raising her daughter as a single mother, breaking barriers and societal norms, which is why she is TTB’s woman of 2022!
